Fake CBD Gummies Endorsements by Elon Musk
Various CBD gummy brands have been popping up online, alleging celebrities have endorsed it. The most infamous of these endorsements allegedly came from Elon Musk.
In 2023, blogs circulated in social media claimed Musk introduced a new line of CBD gummies that could “reverse dementia” and possibly arrest Parkinson’s.
The story added that the product sparked a “huge lawsuit” with Fox News. However, none of it is true.
Other claims in an article suggested that brands like Medallion Greens, Green Life, and Choice CBD Oil and Gummies help treat various ailments—even depression, anxiety, or cognitive disabilities.

No: There is no conclusive evidence that CBD can prevent mental disorder
From a pharmacological point of view, anxiolytics and antidepressants or Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are the most effective ways to treat symptoms of mental disorders, anhedonia, or the root cause of depression.
Still, they are often considered chemicals with adverse side effects.
However, studies indicate that CBD is an antidepressant and antianxiety compound that may replace SSRIs. Thus, these gummies are gaining traction. [NCBI]
Elon Musk endorsement: Fact or Fiction?
Convincing as it sounds, it isn’t easy to ascertain sources and documents that support their claim. But what makes these CBD gummies look better than others is that billionaire Elon Musk allegedly endorsed it.
As it turned out, many of these websites that mention Musk’s endorsements are “scam ads,” according to a YouTube host.
One of the website ads claims that their CBD Gummies have been “flying off the shelves” within minutes after Musk’s endorsement, among another fictional article that claims he gave away CBD gummies that spiked its sales.
The scam articles also dragged the names of public figures and celebrities: Dr. Ben Carson, Tom Brady, Robert De Niro, Linda Yaccarino, Emma Thompson, and an alleged war between Fox host Martha MacCallum.
What is true, though, is that Elon Musk smoked marijuana live on a web show. [BBC]
